Flamenco Dance Classes in Winnipeg

The origins of flamenco dancing can be traced back centuries in Spain, and the popularity of the dance has now spread around the world. At the Institute of Dance, we’re proud to offer Winnipeg dancers instruction in both classical Spanish flamenco style and 18th century Bolero Pericet style. Our adult flamenco classes explore cantinas with an abanico (fan). We pride ourselves on offering personalized instruction through small class sizes, and our higher grade classes are accompanied by a flamenco guitarist.

Spanish Dance Society Examinations

We offer examinations through the Spanish Dance Society. Under the leadership of our flamenco teacher Maritel Centurion, many of our students have received scholarships and perform frequently on a local level and in the Dance World Cup with the Faculty Showcase.
